Leftover Love: Strawberry Ricotta Crostini

Just so you know, you still have about 364 days to go until the next giant explosion of love and chocolate and roses.  So I hope you didn’t use up all of your love yesterday.

(and by love I mean strawberries)

This morning, I got up, put on my workout clothes, walked the dog… and then decided I’d rather have a delicious breakfast than a morning workout.

Since I had a few leftovers from dinner/dessert last night, I made myself a little divine treat.

Toasted bread topped with homemade ricotta (yes, I’m still cheese making, more on that later), leftover strawberries, a drizzle of honey and a few sprigs of thyme.

What a divine way to start the day.

And a lovely way to keep the Valentine’s Day love alive.  My crostini disappeared entirely too fast.
